FAQ: hunting and fishing to Poutrincourt Outfitter

License: You can obtain your hunting or fishing licenses at the main lodge

Purchases: it would be preferable to do you grocery in St-Félicien, because of the variety of grocery and drugstore that you will get there. However, if you need fishing stuff, worms, tackles, jigs, insect repellent, etc. we can provide the basic stuff, directly from the Poutrincourt tackle shop.

Weather: the weather varies year after year. Here are the averages:

• May to June : 60 F to 78 F
• July to August : 70 F to 78 F
• September to October : 40 F to 65 F

Bugs: Mosquitoes season is mid-June to mid-July. July, August and September are bug free. We do not have black flies.

Fishing (walleyes, pikes, and coregones fishing)

License. Here are the possibilites we offer

• One day license
• Three days license
• Full season license
• Catch and release license

The possession limits are:

• 6 walleyes
• 6 Northern pikes
• 3 coregone white fishes

Comment: Those limits represent the number of fish that you are allowed to keep in your possession at any time. If you choose a catch and release license, you can not keep fish.

Guide are available from 150$ US a day, bass boat included.

Hunting (bear and moose hunting)

Guide are available from 125$ US, special price for the whole week.

• Black Bear: 1 license per hunter, 1 bear per hunter
• Moose: 1 license per hunter, 1 moose for two hunters

Note: meat preparation and transport are not included in the package.
